WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE (Pick & Pack)
Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a busy logistics operation. The successful candidate will support the full warehouse process, including goods-in, put-away, picking, packing, stock replenishment and dispatch.
This is a fast-paced role requiring good attention to detail, strong teamwork and a commitment to health and safety. This is a Day Shift role with great long term security for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
• Load and unload trailers and delivery vehicles safely and accurately
• Check incoming and outgoing goods against manifests
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch
• Put stock away correctly and replenish picking locations
• Carry out stock checks and support stocktaking activities
• Use warehouse scanning systems and WMS accurately
• Report damaged, missing or incorrect goods to the supervisor
• Complete relevant warehouse paperwork accurately
• Operate Material Handling Equipment safely and responsibly
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
• Work closely with Warehouse, Logistics and Transport teams
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses and safety concerns immediately
• Support continuous improvement within the warehouse operation
Requirements
• Minimum 1 year’s warehouse experience
• Reach Forklift Licence – essential
• PPT Forklift Licence – essential
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Basic computer/WMS experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commitment to health and safety
Preferred
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• VNA Forklift Licence
• Previous experience operating multiple types of MHE

The successful candidate will be reliable, organised and safety-conscious, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be comfortable working to deadlines, following warehouse procedures and maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Someone who takes initiative, solves day-to-day warehouse issues effectively and works collaboratively with colleagues across the wider operation. Previous logistics or distribution experience would be an advantage.
